November 2026 in Santa Clarita: Veterans Day, Festivals, and Community Events
November in the Santa Clarita Valley is a month of gratitude and gathering: the city's Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Historical Plaza, a bilingual Día de los Muertos performance at the Newhall Family Theatre, the Dial Up Fest music weekend at Castaic Lake, the Dig Deep Dash 5K for a local nonprofit, and Hart Rampage's 42nd annual band tournament. As a REALTOR who believes real estate is about people, not just properties, I love sharing the events that make this valley feel like home.
Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Historical Plaza
The heart of the month is Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 11, 2026. The City of Santa Clarita hosts its annual ceremony at 11 a.m. at Veterans Historical Plaza, 24275 N. Walnut Street in Old Town Newhall, co-hosted with American Legion Post 507. Expect a color guard, the Hart High Show Choir, a POW/MIA remembrance, and the changing of the flags. It is free and open to everyone. I wrote a full guide to honoring those who served this year, so please give it a read: Veterans Day 2026 in Santa Clarita: How to Honor Those Who Served.
Día de los Muertos: A Celebration of Life
On Friday, November 6, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., the Newhall Family Theatre hosts "Día de los Muertos: A Celebration of Life," a bilingual musical theatre production presented by Teatro Nuevo, Ballet Folklórico, Mariachi Ciudad de Santa Clarita, and the Newhall Community Center. It is the valley's way of carrying the season of remembrance into November, and it is a beautiful, family-friendly way to honor the people we love and remember. For the full week of Día de los Muertos happenings across the city, see my guide here: Día de los Muertos 2026 in Santa Clarita.
Dial Up Fest at Castaic Lake
The weekend of November 6 through 8, 2026 brings Dial Up Fest to the Castaic Lake State Recreation Area, a touring 90s and 2000s music festival headlined by Nelly and Sugar Ray. It is a nostalgic, high-energy weekend on the water, and a reminder of how much of our local character comes from gathering around shared music. Tickets and details are available through the festival's official channels.
Dig Deep Dash 5K Run/Walk
On Saturday, November 7, at 8 a.m., the 2nd Annual Dig Deep Dash 5K Run/Walk takes off at West Creek Park, a chip-timed race along the San Francisquito Creek Trail with proceeds benefiting Dig Deep Theatre, a local nonprofit. It is exactly the kind of community giving that makes this valley special: a morning on the trail that puts money directly into the hands of a local arts organization.
Hart Rampage
Also on Saturday, November 7, the 42nd Annual Hart Rampage brings dozens of marching bands from across the region to the William S. Hart High School field for the award-winning tournament. For families with student musicians, this is one of the most exciting Saturdays of the year, and it is a wonderful way to cheer on the young people who pour so much practice into their craft.
A Full First Weekend
The first weekend of November is genuinely full: the So Cal Bike Expo rolls into Central Park on Sunday, November 1, while Gilchrist Farm's Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Patch wraps up its season that same day at 30116 Bouquet Canyon Road. Then comes the big burst on November 6 and 7 with Dial Up Fest, the Día de los Muertos celebration, Dig Deep Dash, and Hart Rampage. If your family can only pick one or two, you are spoiled for choice.
Later in November: Marathon and the Holidays
Mid-month, the Santa Clarita Marathon returns on Sunday, November 15, and the city marks the season with Community Art Day the same day. Then the holidays begin: Light Up Main Street kicks off the season in Old Town Newhall on Saturday, November 21, and the Boys & Girls Club's Festival of Trees opens on Thursday, November 26. I will share a full holiday guide as those dates approach.
Why Community Events Matter
Here is what I have learned in 22 years of real estate: the neighborhoods people love are the ones where residents show up. Events like these are how neighbors become friends, how families find their people, and how Santa Clarita keeps its small-town heart. My mission is simple: Service Before Self. That starts with showing up for the community I am privileged to serve.
If you are thinking about buying or selling in the Santa Clarita Valley and want a guide who knows both the market and the community, I would be honored to help. How can I serve you?

Dates and times are verified as of October 27, 2026 and are subject to change; please confirm directly with each organizer before attending.
